Born from the Med
XANTOS is inspired by Xanthos, the name of an ancient city in the Mediterranean — a place of crumbling ruins, golden stone, and wild herbs between cracked paths.
After travelling through those lands, the name came to mind — often spoken as “Zantos,” the softer local way.
We loved how it sounded: bold but grounded, a name with history and edge.

We’re Ejder and Ananda — a husband-and-wife team who live and breathe food.
Our food reflects where we come from.
One of us grew up in the hills of the Mediterranean, where fire-cooked meals were centred around cheese, herbs, and meat raised on the land — nothing fancy, just honest, flavourful food passed down through generations.
The other was raised in a plant-forward, hippy-loving New Zealand community, where food meant colour, connection, and long, shared feasts.

Vege Pulse is still rolling, but XANTOS is our new flagship: built to go bigger, cater wider, and bring the feast to every kind of crowd — from plant lovers to fire-grilled chicken fans.
